THE PROBLEM

Every other timer talks too much.

Coach voices. Workout encouragement. Audio overlays you didn't ask for.

Pulse is just a timer. Two beeps, your choice of palette, and the biggest numbers on the App Store. That's it.

What you get

Everything you actually need. Nothing you don't.

Huge numbers

Glanceable from across the room. SF Pro Rounded at 200pt during the run.

Any color you want

Eight preset palettes. Coral, Neon, Sunset, Forest, Brutalist, Pastel, Cyber, Calm. Pick one. Switch any time.

Two beeps. Configurable.

Countdown tick on 3-2-1. Long beep at end of work. Toggle each one off in Settings.

Saved timers, yours

Build your own. Name them. Edit work, rest, rounds with minute + second granularity. Swipe to delete.

Stats you actually want

Sessions completed, abandoned, and total minutes. Weekly count. No social leaderboard nonsense.

Music plays underneath

Your music keeps playing during the timer. Pulse beeps mix on top — never duck.

Palette is the point

120+ palettes. Pick one. The whole app flips.

Searchable by name, color, mood. Coral, Tokyo Night, Sunset, Brutalist, Forest, Pastel, Cyber. Change any time. Music keeps playing.

In their words

People who walked out without fainting.

Bell to start, bell to end, my Spotify never blinks. Four bucks once. Done.

The fact that it just keeps playing my music while it counts. Why was that so hard for everyone else?

Sarah K.

Austin · HIIT

Bought it. Used it daily. Never opened a subscription email. Worth $9 just for that.

Mike R.

Portland · Pomodoro

Picked the Forest palette and never looked back. It's my whole gym aesthetic now.

Tabata for years across 5 apps. None of them are this clean. None. Tipped the $9.99 to say thanks.

Toronto · Tabata

Calendar heatmap is criminal. I now train just to fill it.

Riley M.

Denver · Pomodoro

Did the math: $4 once is cheaper than $39/yr for 13 weeks of using literally any other timer.

Chicago · HIIT

Pause works during the 3-2-1 countdown. Sounds small. It's everything.

Erin C.

Seattle · Breath work

Locked the phone, did the round, picked it up — perfectly synced. Best $4 I've spent on the App Store this year.

Honest answers

What you might be wondering.

Is it really one payment?+

Yes. $9.99 once, on the App Store. No subscription, no ads, no upsells. Optional palette pack ($1.99) adds 10 more designer-made palettes later.

Does it talk to me?+

No. The whole point of Pulse is the absence of chatty fitness-app voice-overs. Two configurable beeps. Optional haptic taps. That's it.

What can I use it for?+

HIIT and Tabata circuits, Pomodoro work sprints, meditation timing, cooking, boxing rounds, yoga, music practice — anything you do in timed chunks. Build your own timers from scratch or clone a quick-start preset.

Does it work on Apple Watch?+

Yes — Pulse mirrors your active timer on Watch with distinct haptics per state transition. Start, pause, and skip from your wrist.

Can I change the colors?+

That's part of the point. Eight palettes ship with the app. Pick one in Settings; the whole UI swaps instantly. Save your own custom palette in v1.1.

Do you collect my data?+

No. Pulse runs entirely on-device. No analytics, no tracking, no ad SDKs. Your saved timers and session history stay on your phone.
